An exciting and innovative approach was used with producing this NV Sparkling Red Wine. This sparkling wine evolved from using 15 different red wine varieties scattered throughout the winery. Together, these 15 wines have become one resulting in the newly created Petersons NV “Number 15” Sparkling Rouge that is definitely original and very enticing There are fifteen good reasons why this wine is so special : Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Durif, Grenache, Malbec, Mataro, Merlot, Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Shiraz, Tempranillo and Zinfandel Using a unique combination of these 15 individual wine varieties and in specific proportions, this clever blending formula has resulted in a wine that delivers interesting complexity, luscious, flavoursome, characteristics that are distinctively alluring and divine The Italian varieties have imparted intense richness. Delicate floral, perfumed notes are derived from the traditional French Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir and Merlot. With the injection of the robust Chambourcin, Cabernet Sauvignon, Durif and Zanfandel, these 15 varieties have all come together brilliantly to produce a superbly balanced, tightly structured wine with an abundantly diverse sensory canvas that is both savoury and sweet all encased gloriously by barrel aged French oak.
